Ewww, fat female elementalists? Lol.
Nah, it'd cause arguments, people would be name-calling and everything, give people excuses to fight and argue.

Hmmm... not sure yet how I feel about the ability to change this in-game, but I always felt that being able to make changes of this sort at character creation at least would be a good thing. Maybe make it so that the in-game changes are small and gradual... i.e. you have to eat a lot of meat and sweets to go from skinny to fat, and have to eat a lot of salads to go from fat to skinny. Just a thought.
/signed, though I think there are more pressing issues to be dealt with first
Drake
P.S. While we're on the subject of chracters' physical appearence... does anyone else notice how disproportionately long the necks are on the female characters? This is particularly noticable when using the /bowhead emote... if I saw a person IRL who looked like that when they bowed their head I'd call 911 because it seems their neck is broken. If changes are going to be made to the character models, I think this should be corrected also in the process.

lol. I'd like to be a big fat sloppy monk dude. People are disgusted when you come up to heal them. Would be fun to see a fat dude doing all those nifty moves when he's casting healing spells.

I agree. I used to play Neverwinter Nights before I bought this game and the fat/skinny char choice was nice to have. Granted, it serves no purpose per say...but a little more diversity is always nice to look at.

A fun goldsink, I like it. Bring on the charr hides! Although I fear the warriors that use sprint and have to stop to catch their breath .

Sounds good, i think though it should be like GTA San Andreas on the fattening/slimming. After all you are what you eat

I'd like a bit of variability in terms of bulk. Mainly so I could play a female warrior who actually looks capable of lifting her hammer.
The meat/salad thing seems unnecessary. There should just be some sort of magical cosmetic surgeon in a few cities that can change all the appearance variables you chose at creation, including bulk.

If I make a fat character, will I have to buy armor in plus sizes? ^_^
Maybe instead of bulk, you could do musculature or definition.

Are you one of those people that think being fat is a sin?
I'm not a big hefty guy because I'm lazy(i am lazy, but that's not the reason), I like it this way, why shouldn't I have the choice to do that in a video game?
There are some wrestling games on consoles(mine was on Ps2) where characters are HIGHLY customizable, I back the idea, after I got tired of wrestling, I went through and made everyone I currently worked with, and made them duke it out in the ring.
The reason I brought this up, if you can store that all on a Ps2 memory stick, there should be no reason it's infeasible for a server to store.
There is something about a society where someone of a given profession has a specific build and only changes colors/hairstyles, but is perfectly the same, aside from scale of build, is a bit creepy. Like we're all drones or something.
I would also like to have different area's of armors dye-able. Some armors you can barely notice a change, the rangers are bad off, atleast in the beginning, it's this big brown coat, you dye it, and the real skinny trim changes colors, that's not cool.

I would rather be able to determine the weight when I make the character. All the male warriors are fat and I would SO change ALL of them to be a healthy weight.
With all the running around they do in full platemail, that weight would no doubt give them a heart attack!

i dont think be fat is a sin at all.
im just saying, it would take a lot of work to do. and right now i dont think it's a priority.
and if it turns up as a feature in chapter 2 i dont have a problem with it, im simply not voting for it
